As Summer was replaced by Autumn, then headed into Winter, the
colours and textures along the way change from the glowing to the
sombre. Meziadin Lake is still very green and black in mid-Autumn,
but the brown cedar boughs show Winter is on its way. |
| Porter #3 has been joined by #18, a Mogul (2-6-0, Baldwin, 1923)
recently acquired from the Yellow Pine Lumber Company. Amazingly,
tourist operations operate year-round on Skeena Pacific,
with extended rail tours, dinner trains and other special
events |

After departing Dee's Junction, the tour heads into the Edziza
Tunnel. Next stop is Bulkley Station where guests will overnight at
the sumptuous Hudson Bay Lodge and enjoy skiing, snowcat tours,
shopping in the quaint community of Smithers or just relax. |
| Even as 2004 comes to a close, ""9160" and her 'B' unit continue
to keep the lines clean and clear, ready for the next long train of
tank cars, coal drags or the "Logger" with timber headed for the
mill. |
