May, 2003 saw the completion of the Edziza Tunnel Project. For the technical at heart, track is laid on a 1x4 inch plank and screwed down.
It is then soldered together to get absolute electrical continuity. The joints at each end are connected using rail clamps, so the section can be lifted should the need arise.

Everything is screwed in place and then the plywood and fence were sealed using plastic to protect from rot.
Dirt was back-filled on top and some shade-loving plants put in. Cut granite slabs were placed in front to give the "mountain" effect.
