Kitimat - is actually a complete fiction in the garden, so far. It is the seaport terminal where the original railway (in History)  began. Dee's Junction (yard) see the last entry on the other column.
North Kalum (yard) just west and north of the City of Terrace which also doesn't exist in the garden. North Kalum is SPR's main yard. Here there is a wye and eventually there will be servicing facilities, a station and all that good stuff. In reality, Kalum/North Kalum was a log-reload spur on the Canadian National Skeena sub-division. Edziza  (Tunnel & subdivision) Our tunnel extends for more than 35feet, with access panels and allows the trains to disappear, delighting children when the train (hopefully) reappears. As noted, dormant volcano Mount Edziza is real, but there is no rail tunnel beneath it.
Tseax (subdivision) - connects North Kalum Yard to Meziadin, crossing the Tseax Lava beds and the often-dry Tseax River. The lava beds and river do exist in the Nass Valley, north of Terrace. Bulkley Canyon Station (yard) -hides behind Skeena Pacific Shops (the garden shed) and is covered storage that will hold 3 ten to twelve car trains.  Bulkley Canyon siding is on the CN mailine between Smithers, BC and Hazelton, BC
Meziadin/Meziadin Lake (siding) - Here is a double-track passing siding. Eventually a station and some sort of industry will exist here. It's also a 'beauty spot' that the tourist train stops for. Our lower pond substitutes for Meziadin Lake and our stream represents Meziadin River. The stream rises from Mount Edziza Crater Lake (our top pond) Mount Edziza is in northwest BC, but Crater lake is pure fiction. The places that do exist are, in reality,  beautiful places to visit in the ruggedness of northwest BC. Cedarvale (subdivision)- has also been called Hazelton Sub and Bulkley Sub. It's confusing to crews and I just can't make up my mind. All names are fitting for this stretch of track, between Bulkley Canyon and Terrace and I will settle on a name, sometime.
Tahltan (subdivision) connects Meziadin to Dee's Junction. The real Tahltan river feeds into the mighty Stikine River, west of Dease lake. The steady grade of my Tahltan reflects that of its namesake. Terrace (subdivision)- this is a subdivision to help in working the yard at North Kalum. It breaks up, electrically, that long stretch to Bulkley Canyon Station. It would be via this sub that we would extend into the presently non-existant Kitimat. The City of Terrace is the main commercial hub in the Northwest of BC and straddles CN's Northern Mainline.
Dee's Junction (yard) is the stand-in for Dease Lake. The spelling change was in recognition of my mother, Dorothy, whose nickname was Dee. It's Dee's Junction because, in our story, there is a connection here that eventually connects with the Alaska Railroad and an alternate route south over what was to be the northern extension of the British Columbia Railway. North Kalum Yard - is Skeena Pacific's original yard, with wye and long sidings. It is the southern staging point where loads are sorted to the north, west, east and south. The real North Kalum was a log transfer yard, also just west of Terrace. Log trains bound for Prince Rupert were put together here with logs that had been brought in from logging sites by trucks with 16 foot wide log bunks.
  Kitimat back to top.
